The Super Safety operates as an active resetting trigger system, working in conjunction with the bolt carrier group (BCG) to enhance the trigger reset while maintaining legality within semi-automatic operation. When the trigger is pulled, the hammer releases, striking the firing pin and discharging the round. As the BCG cycles rearward, it resets the trigger while simultaneously engaging the Super Safety’s lever and cam system, momentarily placing the firearm in safe.

As the BCG returns to battery, chambering the next round, the Super Safety automatically disengages from safe, allowing the shooter to pull the trigger again. This synchronized interaction between the trigger mechanism, cam system, and bolt carrier group ensures a deliberate reset, enabling lightning-fast follow-up shots without unintended action. The system relies on the precise movement of internal components, ensuring the trigger resets cleanly while maintaining full shooter control.

The mechanical design prevents unnecessary friction or interference, allowing for smooth cycling. Each pull of the trigger is independent, with no function beyond a standard semi-automatic trigger system, but the reset process is optimized to be as fast and efficient as possible. The interaction between the lever, detent, and cam surfaces ensures the reset is immediate and reliable, eliminating the need for unreliable DIY modifications such as Dremeling out the upper. The Super Safety’s function is dictated entirely by the BCG’s movement and shooter input, creating a seamless and repeatable trigger reset without altering the core mechanics of the platform.

Common Questions

Is the Super Safety AR-15 legal?

Yes, it’s completely legal. The Super Safety Kit meets all current firearm accessory regulations because it does not alter the fundamental operation of your rifle. You are still pulling the trigger for every round fired, maintaining compliance with federal and local laws.

Does the Super Safety make my firearm fully automatic?

Nope. Every shot requires a separate trigger pull, keeping your rifle strictly semi-automatic and fully compliant with legal standards.

Does the Super Safety work with different barrel lengths, and calibers?

Yes! The Super Safety is compatiblewithmultiple AR-15 barrel lengths and calibers, ensuringreliable performanceacross configurations.

Is the Super Safety a forced reset trigger?

No, theSuper Safety is a simpler system than a forced reset trigger (FRT). While both require the shooter to pull the trigger for every round fired, theSuper Safety operates with fewer moving parts, reducing the chance of malfunctions compared to forced reset triggers.
