Overview

The Taurus TX22 Forced Reset Trigger (FRT) is built for shooters who want to wring every bit of speed out of their .22LR pistol without hacking up the gun. This drop-in unit replaces the factory disconnector and uses the slide’s motion to mechanically push the trigger forward into reset, setting you up for the next shot as soon as the slide returns to battery.

You still get one trigger function per round—just at a much higher cadence than a stock TX22.

Installation & Tuning Notes

• Installation:

  • Field strip the TX22

  • Remove the factory disconnector

  • Drop in the FRT unit

  • Reassemble and perform a full function check before live fire

• First Range Session:

  • Start with unsuppressed use and quality high-velocity .22LR

  • Certain suppressor/ammo combos can add back pressure that may affect cycling and reset, so tune with a baseline setup first.

• Maintenance:

  • Keep the chamber, slide, and trigger group reasonably clean

  • Inspect contact surfaces periodically, especially if you’re running high round counts or dirty ammo
